INSIGHT
In Germany we celebrate Christmas Eve with a traditional flue play called "Weihnachtsständchen". Usually it is played but the younger generation of a family, but it does not really sound like what kids are used to listen nowadays – especially Gen Z.
IDEA
We used the flue as recurring motif and created a modern interpretation of the so called "Weihnachtsständchen" and posted it as a countdown for Christmas Eve on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
EXECUTION
Six days before Christmas Eve we introduced the traditional flue play as UGC content. Each following day we added a new layer to the motif and in the end created a whole new song that was even available on Spotify. The "can do Weihnachtssong" by O₂ saved Christmas Eve 2023!
